Avoid Bad Breath

Here are some simple tips and ideas about: avoid bad breath.

Very often, bad breath is caused by a thin film of bacteria on the back of the tongue. Halitosis is usually caused by various different factors, including poor oral hygiene, smoking, dry mouth with too little saliva, breathing through the mouth and stress. In addition, halitosis can be caused by infections in the mouth.

Other causes of bad breath can be:

Nose secretions running down the throat, chronic tonsillitis, malignant tumors

Bad breath from esophagus: Reflux esophagitis, fungal infection (Candida), malignant, ulcerated tumors

Bad breath from the stomach: Chronic stomach inflammation, acidosis, infection with Helicobacter pylori

Bad breath from the intestine: Bacterial overgrowth of the intestine, digestive disorders, chronic constipation

Bad breath from nasal sinuses: Sinusitis, foreign body in the nose.

For years, bad breath was treated only by chewing gum, which of course can only give temporary relief. The odor-causing bacteria are anaerobic (they do not like oxygen) and proliferate best where there is very little or no oxygen - for example on the back of the tongue.

The treatment of bad breath depends on the cause. Cleaning your teeth several times a day is surely an important measure to get rid of bad breath. It is also important to clean the inter-dental spaces, e.g. by using dental floss.

It is also a good idea to use a special tongue cleaner or scraper.

I also recommend in-depth dental cleaning 3-4 times a year. Particularly effective are natural substances that inhibit bacteria growth in the mouth. Zinc-containing agents are also highly effective because they bind the sulfur odor particles..
