Most are the ones that sell person to person, but there are a few, and they are becoming more popular, that sell business to person. These companies buy in brand new goods from the manufacturers and then put them on their market place. There is no owner but the site itself.

This does not cost any money, save for the amount of bids you will have to buy to enable you to place one on the item you want. For some people this s very exciting as it is essentially a race against the clock, with the aim of placing your bet exactly at the right time.
Sometimes, you are waiting for people to drop out of the race in order for you to secure the purchase. You have to remember, however, that other people may come in then to start bidding too. As your opponents are invisible, you have no idea how many people are after the same thing. It pays dividends, therefore, to do research in the many sites and how it works precisely. Then, if you are satisfied that this way of buying is the way you want to proceed and armed with information, then go ahead and give it a go. It pays to have nerves of steel to do this.
